in fact, let's get over to rick santelli at the cme for more on the significance of today's moves here in the bond market, rick. >> yeah, you know, the data was pretty much weaker than expected. but let's start at the beginning. so we see adp at 37,000 at 815 eastern lowest since march of 23. but as you look at that chart you know we've been down before. we had a 42,000 read. so it's not as though that chart looks like it's falling apart. but there's definitely deterioration. now let's look at the second group of data points. we had service sector isms and s&p global was first. and they came in with 53.7 which was better than expected. second highest reading of the year. however it was a split decision because the ism what you're looking at now was the weakest going back to june of 24 under 50 at 49.9. so split on the service sector pmis, weaker jobs. well let's look at what the market said about it. here's a 12 hour chart a two year note yields. and boy you could clearly see the two cliff drop offs at 815 on the jobs. and then again a top of the hour ten. as you see the weaker than ex

also jobless claims markets are under pressure ahead of that rick santelli is standing by at the cme.producer price index for the month of may, up one tenth of a percent on headline. that is very much one tenth less than expectations. but do remember in the rear view mirror we had the trifecta of negative numbers. we had minus half a 1% last month. that was a very big number, the worst since covid or i should say the biggest drop, but isn't necessarily bad to see inflation going away. if you strip out the all important food and energy, it remains up one tenth. as i said before, these are much cooler numbers. we're expecting up 3/10. now this follows a big down number. as i said down 4/10 on x food and energy. that was the biggest going back to february of 15. it equaled down 4/10. we've never had a bigger number. but then again this series was modified. it only goes back to 2010. let's take out food, energy and trade. once again. it's up one tenth and once again that's a couple tenths lighter than expectations. last month, minus one tenth was indeed one of those big numbers. the only
